There's so much bad beyond bad karaoke here that no hi-tech aggro-vibe could have saved it from total embarrassment - maybe Die Krupps' intentions were honest at heart but giving the legendary thrash metal band a tribute as cheap as this is just beyond...

Metallica's "Ride the Lightning", "Master Of Puppets", "... And Justice For All" and "Black Album" are milestone albums each, and if there'd be a cover attempt at these classics genre wise, then maybe something totally opposite from sounding "trash metal" would provide with a true element of surprise (among such gorgeous examples are undoubtedly His Name Is Alive's amazing cover version of Rainbow's "Man On the Silver Mountain" or Tori Amos' effectively scary delivery of Slayer's "Raining Blood", to name a few).

But reconciling Metallica's established, trademark sound with forced EBM-ish type of aggression, in order to establish a "link" - sorry, the end result is just stupid.

Just one thing wrong with this idea (which is as great as the Morbid Angel cover CD EP done by Laibach) and that wrong thing is that they forgot the 1st album, could've done Seek & Destroy which nowadays is played for kids at NHL games in the intermissions...wasn't played at radio at all back in the day...
Then this had been a 5 if they covered every album up to 1992 but at least surprises back then as Blackened and Battery were on it, 7 years before the S&M orchestral versions were done in S.F. with Michael Kamen
