What an awful pressing; an absolute shocker!
I had 2 of these brand-new, and both had the same problem. Constant sticking and jumping, which no amount of cleaning could fix.... Record looks perfect, but there's something fundamentally wrong with the pressing. Probably the worst new record i have ever bought.
The album I had was with the silver/blue rectangular sticker on front...(and I was trying to play it using Ortofon Blue stylus...)

one of the best reggae albums ever. musically comparable to the best jamaican singers and bands. I have rarely found again this quaility. It sounds incredibly deep

What the heck were people doing in the studio?? Why "remix' an album that didn't need it?
Very poor quality mixing, Soljie was obviously not into it, really really bad. Stick to the original (same with Aux Armes Et Cætera) and forget this useless piece for ever!!!

I disagree, the mixes are awful, flat, lifeless, such a disappointment, really. I can not believe Soldjie let this happen. Unprofessional , soulless mixing. Obviously done for money... so far away from the original Roots vibe (and I have the original first press) Actually so bad I gave away for free my copy (along with the other 'new' mixes and DJ version records). BAD!!!!!!!

Very nice pressing with fantastic printed sleeves. This "Dub versions" collection is a remix of the original but does not stray far from the original. Although it was remixed in the 2000s, it does not sound updated... it stays true to form. If you liked the original, you will like this... you may even find it difficult to tell the difference between the content of the two.
