surface noise all over the place here, especially on side A. I bought the record after I have listened to a digital version for over 15 times, so I know the difference.

Take a good look at your record when you open it up. Mine had quite a large spot of scratched area from the inner sleeve.
The pressing sounds wonderful otherwise but the modern sleeves make me paranoid when buying new records.
I really don't understand the logic behind poor inner sleeves except if you want to get rid of new vinyl enthusiasts really fast... garbage. Popped it into my MoFi sleeve right away.

The matrix is misleading. The CANADA/USA release is pressed at RTI. Different etching than listed which looks to be Optimal.
Nevertheless still surprised how good it sounds. Quiet and enjoyable.

Wonderful pressing of a truly wonderful album. Would like to see the faces of those who didn't check this album out digitally before buying the vinyl though. Distortion have never been more beautiful than this.

Quorum track just sounds off every time I spin it. I cleaned it and still sounds worse than digital track. Once you get passed that it seems pretty decent. Not too many pops on quiet parts. As I'm writing this review my wife walks by and says, "is that supposed to sound like that?" about Tempest track.

Distortion ain't too much of a problem for this record as it's basically mixed to be distorted as hell anyways! Very good album though, first side sounds great even while peaking at 26min. Packaging is nice too, well built cardboard jacket. Lovely pressing, nigh no surface noise during the quieter parts of the album.
