Notes

This entry is for the plain Black vinyl
Barcode stickered. Made in CZ

The labels for side B and C are misprinted. The Track 'Gholü' is listed on the labels as being the first track (C1) on side C. However, it actually appears as the last track of the recording (B3) on side B, after 'Scutum & Scorpius'.

The labels of mine say Gholü is the first track on side C, but its actually at the end of side B for me. Does anyone else have this issue?

Another scorcher from Oh Sees who must be the planet's greatest true psychedelic rock band. This has been set out and mastered brilliantly for vinyl with longer tracks forcing a move to 33rpm. You can definitely hear a difference between the vinyl and the digital version although a good job has been done with both. I haven't heard the CD.
I think it works particularly well over two discs as the longer pieces that sometimes hark back to the jazz rock fusion of the early 70s take up a whole side.
Some people seem to prefer only the face-melting shorter tracks with an emphasis on punk and garage so they get the opportunity to ignore those sides. But to my mind they are entirely missing the point. All in all their finest album yet.

Oh Sees can do no wrong. JD's ceaseless work ethic and boundless imagination shine on this one. 10/10.
