Superb in every way - the energy of Talking Heads on this live album even overshadowed their superb studio work up to that point. The earlier VHS version of "Stop Making Sense" may now seem the most desired due to the fact it includes the entire repertoire (or at least what was to be fully encompassed by one such live show)...

At some point after the initial 1984 release was criminally cut by two thirds of the show for the purpose of a single LP, the late 90s' "special edition" repaired some of the damage, featuring most of the songs - still, the superb performances of "Cities", "Big Business" and "I Zimbra" keep missing out from the complete picture (even the DVD version treats it as "out-takes"). In the (near) future let's hope for a super special edition that will be one true box of treats.

Those who attended these shows have no idea how lucky they were. Being part of such a historic live tour. Someone wrote on YouTube at some point - "This is not music, this is revolution".

This should be reissued in its full glory on 2 LPs like Johnny Cash's "At Folsom Prison" and Cheap Trick's "At Budokan" recently were. It's unfortunate that you can only listen to the whole thing in a digital format

A really nice sounding release. Just a shame that it's only half the concert.

Naturally being the unluckiest record collector in the world I'm 2 for 2 when it comes to finding 2 mint sleeved copies in a row of this record containing two perfectly rippled records. My RP3 stylus jumps like a fresh salmon. Thanks discog sellers.. Thanks..

Anyone hear of a mispress of this LP? I picked up a used copy (Sire 9 25186-1) and it has the correct labels for side 1 and 2 but it has the side 2 tracks on both sides. The matrix #'s are for the B side on both sides of the LP. Can't seem to find any info online about a pressing error.
