I met Earl in Phoenix when he was backing up Lou Rawls with Nelson Riddle conducting. What a perfect gentleman he was. His discography is immense and he played on some of the most memorable hits from the 50's and on up. He was surprised when i told him I knew and studied with his good friend Vernel Fournier.
