The Avalanches

The Avalanches are an electronic music group from Melbourne, Australia, best known for their live DJ sets and debut album Since I Left You, which was assembled from approximately 3,500 vinyl samples. (Courtesy Wikipedia)

Their name, the last of multiple one-off stage names from early in the band's career, was taken from the 1960s surf album Ski Surfin' With The Avalanches (2).
