With a varied catalogue of releases from now legendary bands including B-Movie, The Cigarettes, The Pseudo Existors, X-S-Energy, Whizz Kids, and Sinking Ships, Dead Good remains one of the most collectable and highly-prized labels from that period.
The Dead Good imprint has remained sporadically active during the intervening years, mainly concerned with re-issue projects, and the founders have also operated several other labels [including Document, Nursery, etc.] to critical acclaim and varying degrees of success. Dead Good material has been officially licensed to a variety of third parties for re-issue over the years, including compilation albums from The Cigarettes and The Pseudo Existors, and has, regrettably, also been widely pirated by a plethora of underground ‘KBD’ operators from across the globe.
The Dead Good archive is currently being dusted-off and a new website is in preparation, featuring music and memorabilia from the early days of the label, and – in a recent exciting development – plans are underway for a re-launch as both a specialist re-issue label and – potentially – a frontline imprint committed to new music.
If you’d like to get in touch with contributions for the website, hold the rights to unreleased or out-of-print music from a label or band with an interesting history, or would like to be considered for release on the ‘new’ Dead Good Records, please email us: firstname.lastname@example.org.
