Just ask the lonely may be his best track. Timeless.

'a victim' samples the 1983 freestyle tune 'infatuation' by up front... tight.

the noises from this record make you look twice at your player, like maybe there's something wrong. Did the amp blow? Did the needle split? It's subversive minor key deep Detroit beats.

I found this album rather simplistic and very repetitive. Simplistic beats with simple chords that just stop and start. Every track follows this pattern. Some tracks build a nice groove then continue to use the same beats and rhythms for far to long. I've tried to enjoy this record over several listens, but, have got bored half way through as nothing changes in the tracks that much.

I'm baffled why so many rate this album ?...If minimalistic, simplistic, repetitive is what you enjoy - then this will suit you.

New View On The Album 2012:
Having now had a new re-listen to this album. I have now enjoyed it a lot more then previously. Still sounding minimal thats based around looped beats, simple like rhythms, and triggered synth chords/patterns which now re-discovering in how captivating and hypnotic in a sublime way this music actually is! It now does not sound as repetitive as I first thought. Now find it a fairy enjoyable listen through bare-boned minimal deep and groovy Deephouse music. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood, or might have been that I was not quiet awake, or even properly listening when previously listened to this album - but am now glad to have come back to it and have rediscovered this quality album 8/10

Here it is, the vinyl of the album that will make Omar-S as respected as any other house producer from Detroit. Dirty, nasty, deep house that varies from dancefloor to abstract but never noodly, this album is superb. I can't reccomend it enough!

This album cements Omar-S's place as one of Detroit's premiere house producers. There's lots of minimal dark tracky material here alongside some more dirty soulful sounding cuts. The best joint for me is the title track which comes in at over 10:00 long but is absolutely captivating for the entire time and then some. It's nothing but a simple drum beat and a couple piano sounding samples but it's just sublime. "A Victim" is also super hot with its "a victim of obsession" vocal sample. All in all a fantastic effort from Omar-S.
