Excellent quality pressing, super sound and gorgeous bubblegum vinyl.

Etienne De Crécy's second volume of SUPER DISCOUNT returns to the house right away -- in fact, I'd expect nothing less. He's lost, for the most part, the disco of the first volume in favor of electro: "Poisoned" has an acid feel to it, while "Fast Track" brings in an indie guitar strum to round out the quick beat. "Grokster" starts off with strings and soon shuffles off into a solid rhythm even as the strings return mid-way for a build; "Morpheus," on the other hand, goes for a more downtempo vibe, and isn't quite as strong. But "Bit Torrent," a twinkling piece of work, gets things moving again, and "Audio Galaxy" is ruled by its driving bassline. (Interesting how most of the tracks are named after programs and sites that help you get music for free -- a discount indeed!) "Soul Seek" cascades like an electronic waterfall, while "Gifted" is like a slow-burning fire. "Limewire" gets us back into house territory, and "Overnet" reintroduces the electro element. It's quite a departure from the first volume, but even with a discount, it's quite a steal.
