Paul Simon – Still Crazy After All These Years

A little disappointed it’s not multichannel, but sound is otherwise great.

I echo that this is very, very nice pressing. Mine arrived in the RTI perforated bag, but no hype or Pressed at RTI stickers. Outer sleeve is a little bit flimsy and arrived with some creases because of that. The inner was a nice poly sleeve, NOT paper.

Is there another entry for the numbered RSD release? I can’t find it, if there is.

Wonderful pressing of a truly magnificent album.
If you have this, the MoFi SACD is redundant.
Quiet, flat and centered, cut by Ryan K. Smith and pressed at RTI. What else is there to say?

Thought this album sounded okay. It’s quiet with the super vinyl, but I think I was just expecting more. Kinda wished I passed on this album, especially for $125.

Best pressing of this seminal album yet. I do wish it was on 33.3 as I find the benefits of pressing on 45 marginal vs the listening pleasure disruption of having to flip sides every 2-3 tracks. I digress; this is a must have! Thoroughly engaging. This is one of very few recordings that makes me forget I have a phone! :)

If you are looking for a prime example of how good records can sound - put this on - especially with headphones. This Quad mix is better than the 2 Channel Stereo; even if a 2 speaker system is all that's available.

I listened not to vinyl, but to Patrick's rip (24-96) from this vinyl and I can say that this album sounded in a completely new way - as if Paul and his band were playing in front of me. And this is no standard exaggeration. I have a few great rips of one-step records (Yes, Eagles. Donald Fagen, Santana, Portrait In Jazz, Blood On The Tracks, Couldn't Stand The Weather). I can't say anything about the cleaning of this one, but I think this is one of the best in the one step series. Miracle!

Okay let's get this out of the way, Paul Simon is a true musical genius. He is a bounty of creative output, incorporating intelligence and emotion into his storytelling.

Now let's talk about this record. This early pressing sounds as good as the best audiophile recordings in my collection. This is the benchmark by which great mixing and mastering should aspire. There are dynamics, active mixing, a lovely soundstage, and very natural overall presentation. I am absolutely impressed with this pressing.

And if that's not enough for you, sidemen include Mike Brecker, Dave Sanborn, Bob James, Toots Thielemans, Joe Beck, Phil Woods, Steve Gadd, Patty Austin, and Tony Levin. 1975 called, they want their all-star game back. Holy cow!
