Said fuck it and grabbed this for what its currently going for. Sounds great on my end, vocals are a bit quiet on the mix but its barely noticable and doesnt take anything away. Pretty dynamic for an LP from the 2000s. Genuinely amazing album though, one of my alltime favorites.
I also noticed, the US and EU ones have different runouts. Anyone know if one sounds better than the other? I wound up with the EU version and I love how it sounds but I do wonder.

the only one with "a better tomorrow" which hasn't had a repress from Automator's catalogue, as nearly everything he has done prior to this has many represses and remasters. I finally caved in recently and bought a copy, and although it's now reaching phenomenal prices in collector's circles its one of his best projects outside of the more well known Octagon and Deltron projects. On one side you have "the man of many voices" Mike Patton crooning in a Serge Gainsbourg deviant mode, and the female counterpart of Jennifer Charles, whom I hadn't heard anything from before this project, but damn. if her voice doesn't raise a temperature when she sings on "I'm a Sex" and "Strangers on a train".

Also accompanying this journey is turntable virtuso Kid Koala, who brings his innovative scratching style to the mix, although he's a little subdued in the mix on this occasion. The skits although humorous are pretty throwaway, but each song has a dark or sexy twist to them, much as someone I heard quote "it's like Portishead if they did a porno soundtrack". the best tracks been "stroker ace" (about certain female cats in heat), Book Of The month (opposites attracting) and awesome "Lifeboat". Unless a repress is coming out of this soon, you will be expected to pay a few bones to own this now. but its best complemented in a low lit room, a glass of wine and a lover in listening unison. you won't regret it.

I completely agree on all fronts. I also recently caved and purchased a copy but I doubt I’ll ever let it go, by far one of my favorite albums in existence.

I also vote for an urgent repress, prices are so ridiculous ! (and everybody need to listen to this gem, sitting in front of fire with a whisky and his old lady ;))
