XTC – Skylarking

Matrix/Runout is a little different in a SRC pressing I have:

Well it's not 200gm's but I really don't care. This is still a very good pressing. Clean and quiet. Slightly warped. I have the 45rpm box set from 2016 and that does sound more dynamic-- unless you crank this one up-- in which case it sounds great! It needs to be cranked. I have a US first pressing NM. It sounds nowhere near as good-- but it ain't bad either!

I bought my copy used and there are quite a few random clicks on both side one and two which aren’t caused by scratches. Anyone with a new copy have this issue?

Really really like this reissue - it’s like a reunion with an old high school friend who’s really kept it together all these years. Compared it to my well preserved US Geffen 1st edition-pressing and the reissue takes it hands down. A really great lp.

Wow, crazy how dynamically detailed this mix sounds compared to what’s on streaming. Flawless pressing, absolutely ZERO surface noise. More than worth the inexpensive purchase!

Got a brand new copy of the 200g pressing last year. Sounds fantastic, in my opinion

Sounds fine, although given the real estate each side takes up I can't help think this would have sounded better spread out over 3 our 4 sides instead.

Anyone care to part with Disc 1? Mine has some nasty factory defect.
