Canned Heat – Living The Blues

Wow, it's taken me decades to appreciate the heat, and I'm really impressed with every one of these RSD releases. This just rips and diving into trippy passages on side 2 was a surprise.

The RSD website lists this as a July 17, 2021 Drop release and limited edition of 2500.

I have Promo version of this. Any information about promo?

This is the only release which has "Refried Boogie" uninterupted.

I also got a great copy. It is really quiet vinyl with a great sound. Compared it to the Qobuz version and this has a much better sound. The Qobuz is a bit muffled by comparison. This crisp with nice bass. And you can't beat the music!

My copy was very disappointing. Side 1 had a terrible pressing error surface noise, and Side 3 had multiple scuffs and a deep scratch that cause a louder than the music POP for about 5 minutes of the live track. Bummed and I returned it.

My copy sounds great. Disc one has a slight edge warp, that does not affect playback.

Solid Canned Heat blues rock. Good cut here as well. An extra star for 'Going Up The Country'. I enjoy the experimental nature of side B, even if it's a little inconsistent. No huge problems per se with the 40-minute jam that takes up the entire second disc, though the drum solo in part II goes on for far too long.
