This bootleg’s material is sourced from the FM radio broadcast of the “Students Need Athletics, Culture and Kicks (SNACK) Benefit Concert” on 3/23/75.
The story of the concert, as well as the Dead’s “surprise” performance are worth researching.
The sound was what I expected (maybe even better?) but not a hifi recording. It definitely sounded like a mono mix.
The black vinyl was clean and flat. As for the music…it’s a must listen!
Expectedly, the photos on the jacket are not from the SNACK benefit.
It’s worth picking up but not at all a must to own on vinyl.
