Avis
- To contradict what is stated in the release notes above, according to Peanut Butter Wolf the initial press was not on blue, but on green vinyl, 1000 copies, Japan only:
"So House Shoes called me and told me he and Dilla wanted to press a vinyl of those remixes and asked if I wanted to get involved. By that point, I was doing Stones Throw and knew how to deal with pressing plants and distributors and that sort of thing. We pressed up 1000 copies on green vinyl and I sold them ONLY in Japan. That was my first project with him. It was around 1997."
https://thevinylfactory.com/news/peanut-butter-wolf-remembers-the-first-j-dilla-release-on-stones-throw-records/ - Were any of these instrumentals released later? Gotta guess maybe a few are scattered through the various compilations. Would love to hear a remastered release cause the snares are obnoxious on half of these, lol, violent to the eardrum. Try to turn it up to enjoy the samples/music but the high end of the snares make it hard to enjoy. Could just be the mp3 conversion or the pressing or just my old sensitive ears or whatever
- Modifié il y a 13 ansTrack A3 could also be referred to as "Fender Rhodes Solo". This 12" was intially called "AKA J.Yancey" which is a bootleg.
