Recommandations
Avis
- Some fantastic songs here - in particular, "House Full of Time" and "Melt" point to a progression from Loveless that this band did not themselves follow up on. MBV themselves never pushed their guitar sampling and beats this far into hiphop / dance territory. The results are absolutely hypnotic and slamming at the same time.
- Guitar's SUNKISSED mines a whole decade worth of shoegazing for their debut, a glimmering, hazy day of bliss. The title track sets the mood immediately, whirling into consciousness. Donna Regina offers her vocals to "House Full Of Time" and "Fell Flows Free," and "See See, Bee and Me" revels in reversed tones. "Melt" starts out much more stripped-down before launching into a My Bloody Valentine-style blur. "See Sea, Bee And Minimal Me" cleans out the layers for a simpler approach, and the album as a whole remains lush and dreamy throughout.
- One of the better bands to emerge from the wake of 'My Bloody Valentine'imitators since thier mysterious dissapearance in the early 90's;'Guitar' actually pay homage to Shields and Butcher rather than ape thier unmistakable style of washed out droning guitars layered over etherial backwards drum samples and 4 a.d.-esque lilting vocals. This album is pleasantly dreamy from start to finish. It will be really fascinating to see whether they evolve into thier own by the next album,or simply content themslves to live in the shadows of thier influences (MBV,Cocteau Twins,Lush).Hopefully the former. For this is a band with limitless potential given a dose of spontanaiety and the courage to find themselves.-Xylin66
- i really appreciated that one. i like rock and industrial music, and that mix of idm electronics and guitar riffs fits very well ot me.
