I picked up this more or less on impulse on my last visit to London, and after listening to it a few times I've fallen completely in love with it. What Freestylers has done here is deliver a really wide range of songs from all over the place and ... Voir l'avis en entier

Ok, I have mixed feelings about this release, and I'll explain why.

The premise was this: Make as many bands as possible submit a song that was not to be longer than 30 seconds. That idea is really cool and original, but the drawback is when you ... Voir l'avis en entier

Two standout tracks on this superb release: Eyen and New Family. Both tracks represent the part of IDM I cherish; Crisp drums and wonderful melodies. No matter how mellow I feel, playing New Family always puts a smile on my face.

A decent release, but it's starting to feel like he's making the same tracks over and over... same wobbly bassline, same drumsounds, same build-ups. If he doesn't totally renew himself soon, he'll dig his own grave. When I first got into d&b i thought ... Voir l'avis en entier

Forget the title track. What makes this release something to remember is the B-side. A floaty, dreamy melody and some nice slow beats make up for some really sweet chill music. Even if it was released in 1991, it still feels fresh enough to be played ... Voir l'avis en entier

This release was also divided into two and sold as separate 12"s. When I bought it, I got a hold of the 12" containing side C and D. It's a whitelabel in a Pivotal sleeve, bot nothing else indicate which release this is besides the standard carved ... Voir l'avis en entier

As far as DJing goes Bacto is superb and he never misses a mix. Sadly, his choice of music is somewhat lacking. His DJ sets go on and on without ever reaching any highs, they just kind of are there.

But he's responsible for the wonderful Mankind ... Voir l'avis en entier

On the cover of the LP, the track Dozer is labeled as being 1:40 minutes, but in actuality it's almost 6:12. Must be an error when they made the covers for the CD/LP versions, since the CD is mixed.

Fallen Angel's got an awesome, dark and growling bassline, which hits you like a hammer when it enters the tune. You just have to jump around like mad when you hear this one.

Topaz is equally good, with a dark rolling base and intense beats.

I just love this album. Pluxus' tunes remind me of old video games from the late 80's / early 90's (that's a good thing btw).
a posté un avis de DJ Mahatma - Prazalla E.P.. over 16 years ago
This 12" contains some pretty sweet shuffled hard beats that borders on hard techno and hardcore. The tune "Schinke" is a nice surprise, where Mahatma throws in what can best be described as a synthpop/hard rock tune. It's kind of hard to describe it, ... Voir l'avis en entier
