Although this boxset seemed like a noble endeavor in 2004, its flaws have become more glaring with the march of time. To wit:

The saying “in with a bang, out with a whimper” is sadly all too applicable to the final volume of Postpunk Chronicles, Going Underground. Primarily centered on guitar-oriented postpunk, there isn’t as much stylistic diversity here as on Scared to Dance ... Voir l'avis en entier

With Left of the Dial, the second chapter in Rhino's Postpunk Chronicles, the theme isn't so readily apparent. The subtitle would have you believe that the eponymous Replacements song is present here. Alas, it isn't, but considering the Replacements ... Voir l'avis en entier
