The problem is he pasted the link from somewhere else, it is incomplete as i can see. 833...3ff4 in the dot part there are numbers/letters missing.

Had real problems uploading it before mate, tried loads of different sites, it's an mp3 file and when i try it gets to about 15% completion then fails.

This set is just a recording of a live set at a trance party on DAT originally.

The original post was removed because the submitter was concerned about the will of the artist of letting this publically or not. He then tried repeatedly to contact Cosmosis but he didn't replay.

Therefore Patroller decided he waited enough and since he paid to obtain this recording he decided to share it. So I think we must all really thank the poster for his kindness. He could have kept it for himself and make it available only to few people only while instead he gave it to everyone, there is nothing smelly in this :).

And in my opinion is a great set, so even if it has no unreleased it contains live mixes of famous tracks.
It's already a miracle this survived the 90s IMHO.

I said it's a live pa they performed at the Fridge in 1996, the first link i took down because Draeke was whining on about asking Bills permission, i notice he never shared the link with you guys even though he could have done, i paid good money for this and a load of other goa mixes and live pa's from 1995/1996 from a sound engineer who worked for the EFS crew, he's had them on DAT for years, to say they're like rocking horse shit would be an understatement, i thought i was being kind in sharing them but the posts of some people have been very questionable indeed, the word unreleased came about because the other guy asked what was so special about it so i said it was a live pa, unreleased ie not for sale anywhere, tell you what, i'm getting a bit sick of some of the idiots on here, i was going to share all the mixes and live pa's but you can all fuck off now, just so you know what you're missing, here is a short list:

Are you suggesting the mixes were different from the standard versions? They sound identical to me not that I listened closely.

being a live performance it is quite possible they are, btw don't complain when u get something like this. it was not for granted so please change your attitude.

noone said it was a scam....the dude shared it for free, so he really had no material gain from it.

However, one would probably agree that it is not hard to make a fake live and sell it for money (again I'm not suggesting that is the case with what Patroller bought).

point is that it didn't think even for a second the that these livesets may be fake, so i thought that out of jealousy for what Patroller claimed to have one could speculate and state that maybe these are all fake so not to worry too much about.

On the same issue i can add that it was not uncommon for artist to play a dj set of their released tracks and tweak them a bit so to make it a live session. It takes some talent to blend perfectly one artist tracks. Think about the astral projection in the mix cd: the tracks are the same as always but perfectly blended by their makers. This could be the case of the cosmosis live set.

Nonetheless patroller got upset by all these comments and decided not to continue sharing, that's the result of the complaints. I surely preferred a different attitude, but if anything the worst reaction, as usual, was by articuno, so basically thank him for not having the chance of listening to more of these sets.

About the value of unreleased I think it's plain wrong that people are willing to pay high money for them and making it all more difficult for who seeks music for a purpose. So I hope to turn all this around by releasing as many "killer sought after tracks" as i can.

Luckily there are some oldschool artists awaking and contacting me directly through DAT website, and that's what counts most in my case.

I've already accepted that there will be many unreleased tracks and live tweakings that I'll never hear, why get upset over it? There is far too much music to listen to everything, not to mention that unreleased stuff is usually not as good. I can only guess you plan to ask him privately to hear them after you've gone to so much effort to play white knight on the forums, otherwise all this lunatic ranting is pointless. I hope you enjoy them. I'm not losing any sleep, not jealous over them (sorry), and I actually agree with ooze that these should be kept private anyways. Oh well, the initial idea was to list unreleased tracks that were available only on DAT. Then the listings started to include also tracks on MP3 format (the ones not allowed on "official" Discogs pages). Then a few mixes were added. I don't see any harm in this, in fact some mixes contain excellent unreleased versions that are highly sought after (the Etnica/Pleiadians ones, for example).

It's one thing if live mixes of a track are confirmed to exist, but entirely different to start listing DJ sets just in case there are live mixes in them.

There are thousands of DJ sets and the majority won't have unreleased tracks in them.
