Having read recent postings in the forum, I thought it might be a good idea to start a new topic on the unconceived releases of Goa and Psy (please do not confuse this with the unreleased Goa and Psy thread).

Unconceived should, however, be evidenced and not just word of mouth. I.e. mention of planned releases should come from sources such as, release sheets and official record label websites.

Other examples other than those previously mentioned by Draeke that I know of which could be included in such a list are:

    i) Metal Sharon - Untitled album(Twisted Records)
album cancelled due to heavy commitments of both Simon and Merv at the time

    ii) X-Dream - Classics remixed album (TIP.World)
This was for a short while listed on their website as a future release - can't remember the reason behind it being withdrawn.

    What do you think?

    nice idea.
    let's make a list:

    1) Hallucinogen - Live (announced, planned and never finalized. rumour says there is a recording of it but Simon didn't completely like it and postponed and we know how it ended)

    2) ECT - Lost Album: was ready, mastered and finalized, to be out on phantasm records; cancelled at last minute.

    3) Alphanaut Album, was ready and to be out on WMS Records in 99 but never happened. was working on obtaining it to evaluate a possible release but not yet.

    4) Technossomy album of remixes / live tracks: it was supposed to come out as second disc on a repress of their album synthetic flash on this label (alpha beat): http://www.fieldstudios.co.uk/abeatsite/forthcoming.htm
There is definetely enough material to make it but it stays in stand by since many years (also because i think james monro doesnt really want to go on with this project)

    5) a RND Technology album was finalized and ready to come out on blue room, but never did.

    6) magus had planned an album as well if i am not wrong (but dont know the label)

    7) chi-ad - earth crossing (to be out on nova tekk) but we got the files through the chi-ad website recently

that's what comes to mind. :)

PS: maybe some of these i mentioned above fall into category of unreleased material but most of them were properly announced etc.

and i can tell i never read of the aforementioned metal sharon or xdream remixed but too bad they didnt happen!

Hunab Ku - Infinite Nothing - Planned to be released in 2003 on Psysonik, a new Ajuca Productions sublabel at the time.

    From Ryan (Ajuca) to me:
"This CD is not released yet due to some track changes(...) We hope before March." (January 2003)
"The guys had a release available, but never delivered the goods(...)" (March 2004)

    Three killer releases:

    First one:
VA - "Freaks United" (2007, Echo Vortex Records)
It was planned to be re-released more than once.

    Second is:
VA - "What About The Body?" (2005, Deja Vu Records)
    What about this one???

    And finally:
Digital Talk - "Dark Visions" (2003, Acidance Records)
At that time, i saw this release with cover photo on mushroom magazine's webshop advertisement section.

The compilation that was supposed to get released on Tranceform Records some years ago...forgot the name of it, but it's a pity that one didn't see the light either after all!

a bird just now told me Absolum had a full album called Colors with artwork already finalized that never got pressed.

had to come out on 3D Vision and contained tracks like:
orange, indigo, metalizer and the mythic "caramel".

a friend of mine seen the artwork finalized and is a shame that it never came out, i just heard once caramel and was breat taking.

had to come out 97 or 98.

According to some websites and one popular p2p program, this track appeard as Absolum VS Hux flux
dunno if that it's true though..
  • draeke over 16 years ago

yes but huxflux has nothing to do with this track. there is a very bad quality rip with skips and errors around in p2p programs.. it's a track that deserved to be released.

I will investigate :) I have a burned copy from the phantasm hq.
I bought a recordcollection a couple of years ago, from a dj and artist from the label.
And this just happend to be there... among other unr stuff.
A printed cdr with the phantasm -logo, it was supposed to be released as a another Deck Wizards, but never made it.
unfortunatly i ´don´t have the tracklist for it. But i should not be too hard to get.

Savage Scream's debut album on Devil's Mind records with the "Last Judgement" track on it. It has been planned from around 2005 until now, but now it's disappeared from Devil's Mind site...
  • draeke over 16 years ago

    Infra303, add it to discogs!

When it has a proper printed logo is an official promo.. and even if u don't have the complete tracklist u can leave "untitled" for the unknown tracks.

And if there were more unreleased, contribute to the unreleasedgoa list, there can be somethign interesting in the lot :)

I vaguely remember at some point they offered on some site a CDr with all their tracks from the 12" vinyl releases in unmixed form. Anyone know more on this?
  • draeke over 16 years ago

there was an user saying Out Of Orion was going to release an oldschool album by Nada (israeli oldschool project) and i know OOO also wanted to release a Toi Doi album and had already a promo of it, but then it never happened (but luckily toi doi released 3 on other labels but i guess it won't have been the same tracklist).
i never heard of the satori album kwulf
