In 1991-92, Laurent Garnier used to play at the Villa (Belgium), and I got at that times old tapes I since lost.
There was one track that still obsesses me now. I have been searching in all DeepHouse (I think) records in discogs from 90 to 92... And could not find it (Yes, we talk about 4.000 records). I have not yet searched Italo-house, and House... ANyway, any help welcome.
So, how does it sounds:
- Intro with just a 909 beat, and deep bassline, and a guy saying every 8 kicks: aaAAAAh ! (very short) (the aah sounds a bit like this guy at 16 seconds... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkVhN64dyd8)
- Then short silence (4 kicks long).
- Then, DEEEEP CHORDS, a bit like the ones on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLpG31R7y7I. The beat comes back with basses...
- Then, little break, with piano riff. Very close to such a production: Same type of piano sound, a bit more melancolic. About same speed.
It looks a lot from records from Intrigue records... But it is not one of these I can hear or Discogs...
In the end, it is not very far from something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLqkYvekes0
I know my description fits with tons of other records... The only thing that makes it "different" is this aaaAAAh! said by the guy, because I could not find ONE track which has this distinctive stuff.
If you find this track, well... thank you !
