Social Contract

Our Social Contract with the Discogs Community

Discogs is an Open Source inspired database created and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer contributors. We have created this social contract to reflect our commitment to the Discogs community.

Access to Discogs will remain 100% free.

We promise to never restrict access to Discogs data. Although advertising and/or paid-user features may be used to support the costs of running Discogs, access to the Discogs website and Discogs data will always remain free.

We will run a reliable service.

We will do our best to keep Discogs running smoothly for everyone. Although computer problems are bound to happen, we will plan ahead as much as possible to minimize downtime. Any planned downtime will be announced before it happens.

We will respect your privacy.

We believe strongly that spam is annoying and useless. Therefore, we promise to never send you any email without your implied or explicit consent. We will never sell or exchange email addresses or personal information with a third party. In addition, we will never send you unsolicited email on behalf of another third party.
