This album could have been better. The sounds were already dated when it was released. Especially I don't like the screeching lead synthesizer sound that you can hear on a couple of tracks. I remember being confused with this first. All tracks are similar in style. There's some good ones but then there are many average. This never was a major release so maybe I'm overjudging it. Jarre was always big in my eyes so this didn't fit my preconception of him. He should have worked a bit harder on this and maybe hire a producer to ensure it was up to modern electronic music standards. Probably too proud to do that unfortunately. Metamorphoses is much better than this one. 3.5/5

this cd i think is one of the most beatifull jarre compositions. not only for the type of music also because it mixes some styles of ambient music. it is very difficult for me choose one song. but if i have to do i´ll chose "Electric flesh" the song contains a mixture of rythms that creates for me a complete and perfect electronic song. resuming for me one of the most beatifull jarre cds

After an excessive history of turning cities into lightshows, pioneering in China and playing at the great pyramids, all the while amassing large groups of musicians and choirs it is nice to see Jarre making a more personal album about something as down to Earth as human relations. The album was originally intended for the lounge of the Paris night club V.I.P Room (where the release party was apparently also held), but it can of course just as easily be enjoyed anywhere with a good pair of headphones. Gone are all the magic lasers and experiments, and we're left with an intimate and soothing experience that might catch you off guard and find it's way into your heart.
As for the cover art, in case you are wondering it is a pixellation of Isabelle Adjani's eye, and the images inside the digi are various model bodyparts photographed in a bizarre little studio inside the club by Mr. Jarre himself.
