I wonder why MOV used the late 70's re-issue label design and not the iconic original

Cale's masterwork along with Paris 1919 his two finest solo records...not a weak track on the lot and with ENO and Manzanera at the helm of Fear it's one of the best of this gang's multitude of collaborations from that '74-'76 era...beautifully weird alchemic stuff

Definitely a quality release. This is basically the equivalent of a MoFi Silver Series reissue. I'm not sure of the source but it was mastered by Krieg Wunderlich and pressed at RTI and you bet it sounds utterly spectacular. The clarity and definition are exceptional and the wide soundstage creates an intriguing atmospheric stereo image. Great dynamics and great detail. I don't know what the deal is with Wax Cathedral (don't think they're even operating anymore) but I have several of they're releases and they're all really great sounding (also all their releases were mastered by the MoFi dude and pressed at RTI). Anyway, their albums go for super cheap and are definitely a bargain.

This is a glorified bootleg ripped from the CD "The Island Years" released in 1996. "Bamboo Floor" and "All I Want is You" are available only on that compilation (and on this Russian Vinyl Lovers version). I recommend buying an original Island pressing from the '70s.
