Kraftwerk – Trans Europa Express

Note:
Trans Europa Express/Trans-Europe Express was the first Kraftwerk album to be mixed in two entirely separate versions, one in German, the other in English. In addition, a French language version of 'Showroom Dummies' entitled 'Les Mannequins' was included on the French, Belgian & Greek pressings of the album (which otherwise features the English mix).
Most German pressings (as well as the 2009 remastered reissues) list 'Metall Auf Metall' as two separate tracks, the second part entitled 'Abzug'. Most other versions only list 'Metal On Metal', but include both tracks.
The original German pressing (and many of the other editions) features a monochrome portrait by New York photographer Maurice Seymour, with the group dressed in suits to resemble mannequins. A highly retouched colour photo montage of the group by J. Stara is used for the British, American and other editions. A color collage of the group sitting at a small cafe table designed by Emil Schult was used for the inner sleeve. Most of the 2009 reissues feature a simplified monochrome 'TEE' design.
The original German release includes a colour poster of the Emil Schult image.

Would there be any other determinants of the bootleg? I have found a release that may be a bootleg. The "S" (in "Trans Europa..") at the label of side 1 is almost completely inside the inner ring. Which is different from the pictures of the other real 1 C 064-82 306 releases. The current pictures of the bootleg here at Discogs are not showing that the paper labels has integrated with the inner ring as the other real releases. Can any other owners of the bootleg or knowledgable Discogs users say anything about the "S" at side 1 and the way that the paper label has / or has not integrated with the inner ring? May for example pressure of the paper label over time make the inner ring more visible?

Unfort, this is a really shitty pressing...all kinds of pops, and even a couple of skips!...despite having bought this brand new and cleaned it with a Record Doctor II. No visible signs of wear but serious audio defects. Boo.

Everyone always gives the most attention to the title track, which of course was basically "sampled" (recreated) in Afrika Bambaata's _Planet Rock_ and is instantly recognizable, even to laymen -- but I think the real standout on this album is "Franz Schubert", a timeless piece of electronic art that shows no age whatsoever (recently re-introduced to me in Clock DVA's excellent Secret Thirteen mix.)

one of the most inspiring and most influential albums of all time
in 1977 they made music which became famous in the mid 80s
metal on metal sounds like techno music.
without SPIEGELSAAL and SHOWROOM DUMMIES there would not be WEST END GIRLS by pet shop boys or blue monday by NEW ORDER

Especially "Metall Auf Metall" is tribute to "musique concrete". Great piece of art!

Looks like a mirror copy of 1993 US Capitol pressing on heavier vinyl.
Sounds marvellous.
