The Esquires
| Profilo: | American Soul/R&B group from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Formed in 1957 as 'Betty Moorer and the Esquires' they shortened their name after Betty left the group. In 1966 they moved to Chicago and eventually signed with Bunky Records, their debut single "Get On Up" hit #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and #3 on R&B singles chart. They continued recording and performing into the mid 1970's with sporadic re-appearances until at least 1980.
