I wish that Rising High had kept the original Fax artwork instead of the awful design they went with. Anyway the music is what this is all about and it's currently the ONLY vinyl version of a very expensive original CD currently at around a couple of hundred second hand, which is a landmark in 90's ambient. It also sounds almost identical to the original CD dynamics wise.
If you want the OG CD which I’ve had and sold on, then crack on. Otherwise is a cheap as chips no brainer. What are you waiting for?

This is from the dreaded 93 era of PDO's infamous Disc Rot AKA CD Bronzing - just a word of caution, the disc might cease to work properly...

A Masterpiece. What else can I say about it I’m not sure?

Does anyone know of albums that are similar? Same vibe?

This album has seen me through the years since it was released. I always come back to it for a certain feeling. You really need this.

I bought the album when it came out in '93 and i still get the same beautiful feeling listening to it in 2018...that's years 25 later.... what more needs to be said?

After the high of Hymn, the next track Fishology is another excellent track. Flanged rising and falling synth, rhythmic frog like chant and the bell that accompanies it like a companion.

Underwater is described brilliantly by Namlook and Morris. You can hear the music depicting the sea moving above and around you with sea-life rushing by as you view it all underwater, with what seems to me an Hawaiian / Polynesian sounding tinge to it.

Don't get me wrong i like the other tracks, classic ambient but 'Hymn' must be one of Namlooks (and Morris') best pieces. The tinkly melody, the rising and falling (then chopped) stabs, male vocal and swirling synth just make it in my opinion one of the all time classic Namlook tracks. I've played this track over and over again in one session, and even had a few years inbetwen listening and still absolutely love it. Can't help closing my eyes and letting it swirl around me. I've just realised its 24 years old!

Dreamfish is an essential album for a psychedelic trip, akin to Pink Floyd Echoes yet grounded in raw analog sound.

The record begins with the mysteriously simple School of Fish, a dreamy opus that merges the technological and the natural. It tends to tickle the mind, and brings a warm and fuzzy sensation with tribal elements keeping one in sync to the cosmos. Hymn is another wonder, with acidic tones characteristic of the Moog and Rising High label which featured so much of this amazing ambient in the early 90's. Fishology then takes the listen back to the darkness and alien qualities o of outer space. Twisted robotic and electro-analog sound bytes drag the listener along to encounter alien forms. The final piece, Under Water returns the listen to the depths of the liquid ocean, the deeper depths. The feeling of floating with fragments of the previous piece still stable as one drifts deeper and deeper into a subtle tranquility.

Let the Dream Fish take you deeper into Inner Space...
