In my opinion also "His Majesty" is strongly inspired by "Buk-In-Hamm Palace" of Peter Tosh
Modificato 5 anni fa"La Mano" is a great rendition of Sister Sledge's "We are Family". It's never wrong to refer to one of these timeless basslines of Chic's Bernard Edwards. Angella Dean's off-key singing is charming, and the breakthrough comes in form of the crazy "laughing break", very much reminiscent of Bollywood soundtracks. And on top of it all, you get the associated instrumental "Gocce D'Acqua" with nice arpeggios in the mix. No wonder that Groovin issued both tacks as 12' Maxi single.
However, this is not the only '"version" on this soundtrack album. "Get Ready" is strongly inspired by One Way feat. Al Hudson's hit "You Can Do It." "Space Race Romance" is a version of Ami Stewart's disco version of "Knock On Wood." Nice vocals by Moonalisa - did she really come from the moon?
So whoever is tired of listening to the same versions all over again needs this great album!
