I’m sure the legendary first pressing was better but even on my value/$ thrift system this sounds excellent. Grew up with the CD in the late 90s and early 2000s. This sounds fleshed out like vinyl is supposed to ( maybe the cymbals are a touch digital) and sounds faithful to the musics intent. For $20 just frickin buy it.
So I think I might have gotten one with some reused assets. The outer sleeve is from the 2015 (and forward) release with the Sony Music in the top left on the back side, but the labels on the record seem to be from the 2012 European pressing as it's missing the Sony Music logo and states "1992, 2012" on it. No 20th anniversary sticker (or any at all) on my shrink wrap. Has anyone else come across this before?
I agree with what has been said by quite a few already. Sounds absolutely gorgeous here, great clarity, never tiring, balanced and detailed. I wasn't expecting such audio quality to be honest. Played on KEF LS50 and HTA-800V2 from Taga Harmony.
I am so confused I found this version of this record in the US but I cannot find a US pressing version of this. Is there another one or has it not been created??
Skips badly on first few plays. Will update if a wash improves it. The parts that do play properly sound fine, not worse than the CD release. UPDATE: After a clean it no longer skips. Probably just factory gunk or whatever.
As amazing as the album is, this has to be one of the worst experience with vinyl for me. I have two copies of it and they are both full of skips. Very poor pressing.
I read terrible things about this remaster but to my ears doesn't sound worse than my original 1992 cd. Quiet for the most part, no IGD. Worth considering the price.
Perfect pressing and amazing sounding remaster. I got scared a little when I first played it because it skipped twice on Bombtrack, but I played it once more and it was fine.
7,98 EUR on dodax.fr... WOW :-) vinyl can be cheap not always be total crap as we can see in comments. Of course it is not 1st pressing AAA quality but...
