Yes, both my discs are pretty noisy. Far moreso on the first disc containing the original album. That disc is also fairly warped, though not enough to cause serious issue in and of itself.
Both records were thoroughly cleaned several times in the hope the excessive pops would go away, but to no avail.

A shame, as you can hear the great quality of the remaster and music behind the noise, and for the few occasional unobstructed moments you get, this release sounds phenomenal. I actually love the second disc as well, which served as a worthy companion to the original album.

Currently waiting on a second copy to ship in, hoping it will by chance turn out better than the first.

Can anyone comment on the pressing quality? Thanks so much.

I have an idea.

Let's go through all the effort to re-master the original Apollo and Atmospheres, and then release 11 new and beautiful songs by B.E. and Comp. in a gatefold, and then have a 2xLP pressing with distortion in the mastering, grainy noise through the first half of both records, and some semi-regular pops and clicks. Wait, we almost forgot: let's warp the shit out of the first record as well.

Project complete.

My copy is dark and beautiful. Sounds best when the entire house is asleep in winter while the furnace is off. It’s just jaw-dropping beautiful.. sounds like I got lucky with a decent pressing

I got my copy last week, and the pressing is great, no issues, packaging really good too. I love the full colour Apollo landing photos.

Had this on the previous CD version and have waited for a better version to come along. The issue with ambient music is it suffers from all the things loud rock gets away with in mastering and 'pressing'. This version is musically much more my thing as I DJ on loud systems that expose bad sources. My lossless digital files have now been joined by this masterpiece which has been a staple of my techno sets (for interludes) and more tech orientated house sets. Will be 'back-in-my-box' in this new version (not that it ever left). Recommended
