Combine the music of Synaesthesia and Front 242 with the soundscapes of Vangelis, and what you get is...Decoded Feedback. The last 10 years DF teach the world how EBM/industrial should actually sound (not extremely high tempos, not extreme use of distortion). Before it was Front 242 - the EBM-gurus and the only worthy survivors of the (damned-for 4/4 beat music) '90s (...@#$% drum-machines).
"Shockwave", "Aftermath", and the latest "disKonnekt" are pure masterpieces. From their previous works, only specific tracks stand out imho ("Frozen", "Breathe", "Euthanasia", "Lifeless", "New World", "Bio-Vital", "It's Armageddon", "Fall-Out", and the Clock DVA-like "Passion of Flesh"). "Combustion" (2005) is a bit unexplainable album, but It has an excellent sound production, and some awesome tracks ("Monument", "Reflection Of Sine", "Hyberia"). I consider it as the step that led DF to the brilliant "Aftermath" and "disKonnekt". So, the good news for all is that DF seems to be a group in progress, not in decay.
