Such a curious and enigmatic label and producer. When I first heard the Kurokin EP I felt that a new sound had finally arrived on the techno scene, a sound that managed to combine cerebral minimalism and glitchy weirdness with floor pounding bass and a Chicago-style swing. When the Nine EP came out, with its wonky, bottom-heavy, and surprisingly soulful sound (and a tribute to the drug darvocet?), I was equally convinced that d'Kawa was getting ready to take flight. Yet, with the exception of the Mec Ond Mec EP, there's been little noise from this mystery character. I truly hope that this is not the end of the d'Kawa story. Seems there's much more to tell by such a unique artist. If anyone can fill me in on why he/she's been so quiet, I'd really appreciate it. d'Kawa - if you're out there, sitting on some back catalog, working a 9-5 or something, or hopefully even producing something new, know you have some fans on the other side of the globe eagerly awaiting the next installment!!!
