Roy Ayers Ubiquity – Everybody Loves The Sunshine

This is an awesome pressing imo. Sounds great on my setup.

Picked this up after Kamala recommended it. Fantastic album and this pressing is great.

A very pleasant surprise. Definitely sounds better than my Monarch pressing. As stated in the below comment, the sound is clear and free of distortion. But it still retains the rawness of an OG copy. Highly recommended!

Must be pot luck with these , bought a sealed copy and the skip being mentioned by previous review isn’t present on this one .

I gotta say something here since no one else so far has. I got this record with zero expectations maybe even negative expectations when i found out gz media was involved in this.

To my surprise the physical pressing is great. It was flat and clean and centered and the color was a nice touch.

On to the meat of the matter which is the sound. It is my pleasure to report that this sounds absolutely amazing exceeding my expectations. I can’t believe it. The mastering is loud, clear and very separated with no distortions.

What a pleasant surprise to listen to this on my audeze lcd xc headphones through my sansui au 717 amp late at night. Amazing.

I have two copies of this album. Bought the first one sealed back when it was released and acquired another copy recently as part of a collection which looks unplayed. Listening to the copy which I just acquired and I noticed that the first track on Side A plays with a skip at the one minute and ten second mark. I checked the other copy and it does the same thing so it's obvious that's it's a manufacturing defect. The rest of the LP plays clean without any issues and sounds good overall.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if the entire run of this pressing plays with the same issue.

A bit underwhelmed by the printing quality of the sleeve/cover, and the sound quality. I felt it lacked that solid, deep vinyl sound - as it sounded digital to me. Unsure if it is just this version or is common with others as I haven't seen nor listened to a different copy yet. Keen to hear what other owners felt of their copy.
