Katy Kirby – Cool Dry Place

My pressing sounds good! No skips, very little surface noise.

Really nice debut but the pressing is just ok, right away it started off with a few pops, but after that is sounded okay.

Love this album, but not the greatest pressing. It took me 3 tries to get a copy that didn't have the same recurring tick at the very beginning of Side A. Side B has lots of surface noise on all three copies, even after cleaning. (I have a Pro-ject Carbon Evo.)

Delicate, understated, sophisticated, intuitive songsmithing, and just damn catchy. Dare to put it on repeat.

Few Pops. Will try again after a good clean. Good record though

Not sure who pressed this, but mine is definitely off-center. A disappointment

Mine sounds pretty good after a simple dry cleaning. Love this album more every time I listen.

Love the album, but this pressing is a joke. My first copy was extremely full of pops and crackles. Consulted the store, then received a replacement. A lot quieter, yet still noticeable amount of pops and crackles on side B, mostly. Especially worse when playing “Secret Language” (The first copy also had this track full of pops). I might give the coke bottle one a try because the “smoke” was more like a “stain” and very underwhelming. But yeah stay away from this pressing if you can.
