Glastonbury Fayre is a triple album released in 1972, comprising performances by acts who had appeared at the Glastonbury Festival in 1971 and others. The album came in a fold-out poster sleeve inside a printed PVC outer sleeve, with a 32-page illustrated booklet, a poster sheet and a fold-out Silver Pyramid, all designed by Barney Bubbles.

- Edited 6 months agoI have an original copy with all original inserts and bag cover. Two of the three LPs have both labels with white and red lettering variant while the third of the three LPs has the printing variant that includes yellow. Very nice package. Hard to believe that this was issued by a bunch of hippies back in 1972 with all of the goodies included with such good quality printing standards.
- I have a copy of this Buccaneer Records CD and I think it's quite good, but not great. The two CDs sound good, but not professionally remastered from the original LPs - which were not virgin vinyl. This package comes with small versions of the booklet and the two posters in a fat CD jewel case.
I made a CD-R of the first disc with a full 32-minute Dark Star on April 8, 1972, from Europe '72: The Complete Recordings which was released in 2011, and added the other Buccaneer tracks to the CD-R. 
Just a warning from me: the sound of the live recordings is terrible. The studio recordings vary, but they are listenable. This is only a collectors item in my opinion. Akarma did a nice job with all the gimmicks, but I am a little bit disappointed.
Edited 3 years agoI have a (licensed German?) copy with a print on clear foil saying: " THE ELECTRIC SCORE Super Rock Collection Glastonbury Fayre Festival" advertising the 32 page booklet only as 86 692 XET im Ariola Vertrieb (not to be found here). Record labels REV/MCPS (boxed) records 1 and 2 with yellow flame lettering, record 3 with white flames. Does anybody know or has this as well?
Any idea why the last two copies sold went for a much increased price?!
Less than 100 (one hundred) sets of this exist as the BPI busted the producer shortly after production. Most were destroyed.- Edited 11 years agoThis is an inferior version of the original U.K. 'unofficial' release on FEST records. The original had a replica plastic 'front' insert as well as detailed replicase of ALL of the LP inserts. It came in a fat CD case and were individually machine numbered. 500 were pressed but most were destroyed by the B.P.I., around 100 were sold prior to this.
