Hawkwind – Warrior On The Edge Of Time

This a masterpiece from start to finish, all except Kings of Speed. I love Lemmy in this group, but damn someone should've cut that track.

what a ripper ! whole album is sonically glorious and is mixed great! love the feel of a concept on this one. They really were at the top of their game making this.

I have another version of this Griffin release. It's a standard jewel box, not a box. There's no "176-page discography". But the back cover is identical, except for a small sticker that says "Made in Canada" under the Griffin Music logo. The barcode is the same as this entry, likewise the audio content.
The runout on the CD, however, is completely different: DISQUE AMERIC 098G3<897>5542139312. And on the label side of the CD, under the Griffin Music logo, there is a compact disc logo, and under that, "Made in Canada".
The front cover insert is a 4-panel folded sheet.
This would seem to qualify as a new version of the release by Discogs standards.

Got to admit, I was sceptical.
But 3 minutes in, the scepticism began to evaporate!
No need to discuss the music, it's Warrior....
I have a mid priced system - nothing fancy! Sonically this LP sounds really good - Bass/ Trebles are well balanced and has a wide soundscape. This is a Steve Wilson mix and not the original. This mix (imo) is fantastic. Brock and Lemmy's (R.I.P) string work is clearer, percussion has plenty of "punch" and synths have been brought to the fore on this mix - check out 1st chorus on "Assault.." - the Synths sound sublime. The pleasant surprise on this mix is that you can clearly make out the excellent contribution from Turner (R.I.P) which is not as apparent on the Atomhenge – ATOMBOX 1001 2013 CD Box set. Cover art is a good reproduction as is the inner bag! - Not sure what they mean by reviews from National newspapers etc - nothing!

Can anybody else comment on the sound and pressing quality to know if this is worth getting?

A Little bit disappointed, sound is powerless.
The new mix from Steve Wilson is perfect but there's no punch at the end.

just listened to it right now, "Opa Loka" is shoulder to shoulder to German "Neu" stuff isn t it?

According to the discogs "Market"-oriented country definition, this is supposed to have "F" in country, isn't it!?
