Joni Mitchell – Wild Things Run Fast

Overall this is a pretty Hotly mastered album, very forward without being in your face. All the best of Mitchell’s brilliant pop touches without going deep in her Jazz tendencies. "Chinese Cafe/Unchained Melody" is a late career highlight.

Fabulous record, so full of jazz, a little of pop too, bassist Larry Klein sounds good with notes of Jaco (but he's not Jaco of course) plus he married Joni Mitchell :))) Russel Ferrante and Wayne Shorter, plus Vinnie Colaiuta are a gold medal here, but all this needs to be in a good track and balance, and the record got it 110%. Great engineer and pressing and this records has the sound of a jewel record.

Very enjoyable music, though maybe not my or most’s favorite Joni album. The pressing is absolutely incredible!!! The clarity, detail, separation and resulting soundstage and realism are truly spectacular. I can’t find any info anywhere about “audiophile brown vinyl,” but the only other record I’ve seen like it is the ‘81 MoFi DSotM, and these two are probably the best sounding recordings in my collection. Grab a copy if you find it!

Sound quality on my copy of this pressing is fantastic! Musically this is also a great album. Wayne Shorter bits are nice!!

Hi Folks. Agree with torjaeger'98: great sound, great pressing. - But my White Lable, looking the same as on the pictures here, has the date "JUL 24 1997" (Matrix number is the same). May be there were two sets of test pressings? Does anybody know?

This a superb pressing, very quiet with great sound quality

First Geffen album, and reflecting a more pop-orientated sound vs the folk-jazz sound of her previous work. Also the first album featuring future husband bassist Larry Klein. Unchained/Chinese Cafe Medley opens the album and is probably one of her best known songs. Recording quality is good and open.

Just checking my copy of this album and before I load as another variant can someone confirm my reading of the name on the runoff as J.Golden and not J. Gorden as shown above.
