King Crimson – Discipline

A wonderful Steven Wilson Remaster to one of my desert island albums. Sounds amazing, with amazing clarity & separation.
I got this album (OG pressing) and my brain was not ready, I was 17 when this came out. I was adventurous enough for the times. But nothing prepared me for this Masterpiece, 🇨🇦😎

does this pressing have the 1989 or original 1981 mix of matte kudasai? it doesnt say anything about it in the notes

It’s not amazing, but it sounds fine. For 30 bucks it’s not that bad.

Not really understanding the hate here. The mastering could be better, sure, but there's plenty of life here. It sounds solid. The alt mix at the end is interesting but unlisted and unnecessary.

People seem to complain about the lack of bass, but mine seems not to have that issue. It sounds fantastic to me. Perhaps it’s my system, but I’m pretty satisfied with my copy.

This pressing is stunning. Ignore previous comments, do yourself a favor

This is much better than the other red polydor album "ITCOTCK", which has details faded. This copy is high quality in digital mastering and performs so well, printing is also fantastic.

The mastering of this issue is horse shit. I can’t believe this was supervised by Robert Fripp. Maybe his hearing is shot. Sounds like someone put wet towels over my speakers

This would be the thick and creamy edition. Not terrible just not what one who has only listened to the early U.S. CD edition would expect.
