DJ Tiësto is here to make you dance, and on PERFECT REMIXES VOL. 3, he pushes his progressive trance agenda onto his fellow music makers for further dancefloor domination. Balearic Bill's "Desintation Sunshine," for instance, gets a darker mix, while the tootling of "Johan Gielen's "Velvet Moods" goes straight for the floor. A touch of the tropics boosts The Roc Project's "Never (Past Tense)," though, to be honest, if you've heard one Tiësto track, you know exactly what you'll be getting in all the others. It might not be noteworthy, but it's effective. The tracks that stand out, then, are the ones that were already strong before Tiësto's touch: Salt Tank's "Eugina" is a perfect example of this. And maybe that's what makes for perfect remixes.
