- Surprised this has flown under the radar for so long - the cover of "Love Hangover" has to be one of the finest covers ever, its absolutely epic!
That magnificent intro that builds and builds and builds into a wonderful funky crescendo... the beautiful Ron Burgandyesque jazz flute and that sax! Damn the sax hits HARD. I could wax lyrical about this record and this track in particular but I've probably bored you by this point. Just buy the damn thing! - I was expecting some mediocre disco/funk from this album. What I got instead was an album filled with disco/funk gems! Some “players” indeed, very tight grooves, and some great sax playing. Even the tamer tracks are jams, like the Isley Brother’s cover. For the premium of a few bucks, this is hard to beat.
- It is a shame that no decent label has picked this up for a CD re-issue....come on guys it 2020 next month!
