Label based in Olympia, Washington, and run by Mike Dixon (12). Most of the releases on this label are severely limited editions of lathe cut records (some in editions as small as 20 or less) packaged in labor intensive handmade packages. People In A Position To Know Recordings is distributed by The Business (2).

In the beginning, Mike used a cataloging system that was difficult to understand, and has recently re-numbered each of the releases to make the catalog easier to follow. The listings here are being updated to reflect the recent change, but the historical catalog number (which, in many cases, does not appear anywhere on the release) will be retained in each release's notes.
