If I consider all their sublabels (especially Obscene and Tech Freak), imho this was the darkstep label that dominated the 2000s darkstep scene, although when I phrase it like that, some releases definitely stick out like a sore thumb, especially the earlier ones. Clearly there were other heavy hitters (Position Chrome, Barcode, Tech Itch's own ventures etc.), but it was the Freak label family (or Dylan & friends, if you will) that brought me into the darkstep/skullstep/whateverstep scene that defined my youth.

Shame that the label basically disappeared overnight.

One of the first labels to push the Skullstep/Dark Step sound. The first few releases were more in the Tech Step mould but from the first Limewax release the label became more harder edged. Sadly Dylan seems to have completely dropped off the music scene since his move to the USA. . Dylan if your reading this - Thanks for the music!!!
