MPL Communications Ltd.

UK-based, independent holding company for the business interests of Sir Paul McCartney, operating under this name since 5 January 1976. Wholly-owned by Sir Paul McCartney.

'MPL' stands for McCartney Productions Ltd. (now a separate company), the name in which the company was previously incorporated as on 4 September 1969. MPL Communications Ltd. is based in both London, UK (MPL Communications Ltd.) and New York City, USA (MPL Communications Inc.)

Another subsidiary music licensing company, MPL Music Publishing, Inc., also exists. It deals with Paul McCartney's later work, but is also one of the world's largest privately owned music publishers (through its acquisition of numerous other publishing companies), including the entire Buddy Holly catalogue and musicals such as Guys & Dolls and Grease.
