It’s strange how low profile these labels have stayed over all these years because they are oozing with quality Techno and House Music. When No Acting Vibes and it’s follow up Moto Music started in the mid-nineties it was hard to get attention as a small new label and certainly when it didn’t come from the usual suspects in Europe: United Kingdom, italy, Germany,France, Netherlands or Belgium. I stumbled upon it some time ago and my god what has the World been missing! No acting vibes delivers house Music for the soul. The Dan Piu – Quenchy ep and Robert P’s Positive elements ep’s are packed with amazingly deep tunes, all thrillers no fillers on these ep’s. The other 3 on NAV are worth picking up as well. Chicago,s Terry Hunter was giving the Quenchy a lot of play time in the nineties.

When No Acting Vibes stayed to low profile they defunct it and Roberto Pistolese and Dan piu started the Moto Music label. This label opened up their vision on techno and there you see how extremly talented these guys are. At moto it's all about the decompression and atmospheric sounds with repetitive structures. That sounds aseptic and sterile, but the emotional aspect always dominates in their productions. They are huge fans of detroit techno and you can here that in “The Shine” a tribute to Jeff Mills and Defenders of the limitless expanses (Experimental Carl Craig). A tribute to Detroit but definetly with the sound signature from Dan and robert. When you are looking for some track id’s from a Jeff Mills set since 1997 and you could never find them i recommend you to listen to these 2 ep’s because Jeff is playing them on and off since they came out.

The most amazing part is the extremly small limited edition Dan Piu - Self Education album(CD only!). Every single track is simply amazing. The album title track Self education klocks in just over 3 minutes. It just hurts how short it is,it,s that good. A quote from the booklet of this album. “Self education should people move to do something in the absence of all the f**king rules.” It was only released for friends and family and fans. The Biogeneric ep is also very hard to find. Four ultra massive Killerdetroit tracks from Marco Repetto. Whether it comes to bizarre funky Offbeat rhythms to dazzling emerging from nowhere synthesizer excursions , sweet melodies or chopped scratching at the basics. Everything is right on this record . Brilliant , timeless and very intense.

In recent times they started the deepArtSounds label full with amazing fairly lowprofile artists and again with great soulfull house music. I mean when Ron Trent wants to release an ep on your label you must be doing something right. I hope Robert and Dan will produce more frequently because their output has been to small for their talents and that they will keep their no quantity only quality approace. Always keep digging you never know what you will find...
