U.S. label first focusing on electronic music, mainly ambient, space music and new age. It plays an important role in early electronica since it released many classic titles by Michael Stearns and two of their Albums, "Amazonia" by Ananda and "Expressions Of Impressions" by L. Subramaniam , as well as excerpts of Michael Stearn's Albums were featured in the movie "Baraka" in 1992. Their first release was Craig Huxley's "Genesis Project" from 1984. Later the catalogue was extended to more genres like jazz, contemporary adult, fusion, holiday music, rock, pop and house music. Although operating under various company names, eg. "Sonic Edge Records" and "Sling Shot Records", the catalogue numbers stayed the same. Today, the company specializes on documentary & special interest movies, releasing the official US IMAX Movies on high quality DVDs by example. Corresponding soundtracks of the IMAX films are avaliable on Silver Wave Records.
