I guess Relief used the railroad warning sign because they laid down so many tracks (of course by trax I mean stripped back house grooves). Correct me if I'm wrong - just sharing thoughts. Like others below have said, one of the cult labels of the mid 90s and everything about it was right. It's still worth hunting many of these down. Massive respect.

Quality house music label.....collected these back in the day. Love the 12" sleeve artwork, The US railroad sign symbol and the colours of the Chicago Bulls. I'm from England, correct me if I am wrong?? Quality tunes also and love the locked groove. I am glad the represses are not using the original artwork on them, keeps the originals unique.

Cult status this label has attained and most deservedly so, not always the most accessible of music but then personally that's what i want. The vinyl's themselves are heavy and the whole package smells beautiful. Back in the day i was more into the more open Cajual sound and had only picked up a handful of Relief releases but have now turned my attention to Relief from the 1990's which seems to be a timeless sound, i love the artwork and colors used for the label. the musical range of Relief records is extremely broad, from stripped down jack tracks, jazz infused house music all the way towards well rough trance like tech music and many many stops between. Well i suppose if your reading this you will have at least some idea of the sonic sound scape on offer. This is proper late night club music, the artist's who released on Relief seemed to really know there stuff and of course the same can be said about the boss himself.
