The Bronx (2) Social Club Series:

Social Club started right about the time we figured out that making big long expensive records for big time labels isn’t as much fun as it might seem. Not really the good time roll in the hay it’s cracked up to be. So, we decided to start making our own records again. By make, we mean record, mix, press and print them ourselves...we don’t even play on half of them because we’re that good - we get other people to do stuff for us! We took the name from a UK men's drinking club, from what we understand, it’s just a bunch of dudes that need an excuse to booze it up with their buddies while also needing to get away from their significant others. Man throb at it's finest. We thought it sounded cool and completely worthless - and who likes drinking with a room full of guys? British people, that's who.

With that said, Social Club is an experiment of sorts, what other people sound like playing and/or singing our songs in an environment that has no expectations. No bar to meet, no fuckheads to answer to, just a bunch of people that like to make music and... well, make music the old fashioned way. Together. All ideas are explored and listened to, all songs are recorded to the satisfaction of the guest, all songs are collaborations. There are no swinging dicks of ego, there is no second guessing – there is just pure unbridled creativity which ever way it leads. Pure expressionism. We had planned to release these only as a box set collection, but time constraints and touring needs have pushed the concept forward for individual release and for your sterile aural pleasure. So sit back, place the needle on that gorgeous wax and take it all in. Some tracks might be deemed unlistenable, other tracks you will find to be very satisfactory and produce hardness or wetness (depending on gender) and oh yeah, there is only 100 copies of each issue, released on 7" format only so you will never hear it. Think of it as playing the lottery, it could happen to you. Best of luck to you airlines.
