Unlimited Gold

Label founded by Barry White in 1976 while he was making R&B smash hits at 20th Century Records. It released only one LP by Love Unlimited before it went dormant until 1979 when White left 20th Century Fox Records for CBS Records, where it became the outlet for his recordings and productions.

There were a few moderate R&B chart successes (although nowhere near his mid-1970s prime at 20th Century) and he and the label were dropped by 1983. The label then switched to independent distribution for three more years until finally closing down for good in 1986.
