Arcola
Profile: | Arcola is an abstract dance-oriented subsidiary of Warp Records. It was set up in 2003, and takes its name from the Arcola Theatre, Ashwin Street, in the Dalston region of Hackney, London, where Warp held the launch party for the label. It released a number of singles in 2003-2004 and relaunched in 2018 as a limited 12" imprint that uses the format to explore the spaces where contemporary electronic music meets club music. |

Warp's offshoot label with a more dancefloor orientation. I haven't heard of these artists before...where have they been hiding all this time. The sounds are a mixture of new and old....acid stabs and tight drum programming throughout all the releases.Fantastic music as wiht any releases that have anything to do with the Warp records imprint.
